A new survey conducted by DC Consultores between July 4 and 6 revealed strong support for current Defense Minister Luis Petri in the province of Mendoza. The study, based on more than 900 cases, shows that 51.4% of respondents would choose him if the provincial elections were held today.

"We've been measuring Mendoza for some time now," explained Aníbal Urios, head of DC Consultores, in an interview with Aconcagua Radio . "We always want to see how voters behave over time, not just take a snapshot that fades away. We use the same method we used for previous elections, like those of Milei and Cornejo," he explained.

In addition to voting intentions, the survey included a key question: Who do you think will win the next election, regardless of who you vote for? In this instance, 60% of respondents responded that they believe the next governor will be from La Libertad Avanza . "That question sets the tone. People tell you, 'I'm not voting for him, but I have to keep a blindfold on so I don't realize he could win,'" Urios explained.

The consultant emphasized that in this context, "there's a kind of continuity" between figures like Alfredo Cornejo and Luis Petri. "Voters see them walking the same path, even if they have differences in age or style. One candle goes out and another is lit," he explained.
