The imaginary world created by Jules Verne comes to streaming with "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea," the new Disney+ production.
This adaptation preserves the essence of the literary classic and continues the narrative that began with "Journey to the Center of the Earth," released in 2023.
We recommend: Cinemex will have tickets and popcorn for 30 pesos; find out the dates. One of the highlights of this production is that it stars Mexican actress Paty Cantú, who plays two key characters: Nemo and Athena. Joining her are Spanish actors Óscar Jaenada as Pompilio, Yankel Stevan as Martín, and Sebastián García as Diego.
The action begins when Martín and Pola (Margarita Rosa de Francisco) respond to a distress signal and embark on a mission to the Verne dimension. There, they must confront a fearsome pirate seeking to seize power.
Meanwhile, on the Pompilius submarine, Diego, Pompilio, and Claudio (Mauricio "El Diablito" Barrientos) discover that something has escaped to Earth. Their search will lead them to the impressive Calliope submarine.
"Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" is a six-episode adventure that introduces children to the world of science fiction and offers adults a new way to reconnect with the classics.
It also addresses topics such as imagination, friendship, family, teamwork, and environmental stewardship.
