A Darth Vader sword will go up for auction in September with a minimum bid of $1 million.

A Darth Vader lightsaber, used in the films "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi," will go up for auction in September in Los Angeles, with an estimated price of between $1 million and $3 million, according to auction house Propstore.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the artifact was used by actor David Prowse and stuntman Bob Anderson and is the only lightsaber to be auctioned. "Authentic surviving lightsabers from the original trilogy are extremely rare, and Propstore is honored to feature this historic artifact in our September sale," said Brandon Alinger, Propstore's director of operations.
According to the auction company, the lightsaber is made "from the flash handle of a press camera." It explains that "it was converted into a lightsaber by adding components such as plastic grips, small electrical wires, and a circuit board with magnifying bubbles from a calculator." It has been in private hands and has not been seen outside of its appearance in the films of the saga.
During the month of August, the auction house will display the lightsaber in three cities: London, New York, and Beverly Hills. Also on display will be a whip and belt worn by Harrison Ford in ' Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,' a close-up of a hero's neuralyzer from 'Men in Black,' and Sauron's helmet from 'The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.'
