It's worth mentioning that the vehicle involved in the accident this afternoon was a tow truck. The aforementioned vehicle, belonging to the company Auxilio Ruta 3, was transporting an Iveco truck with a container secured by a mechanical boom , which collided with the metal structure.

The Buenos Aires City Ministry of Security stated that the collapse was due to negligence on the part of the truck driver. "He didn't take into account the height of his entire load and crashed into the pedestrian bridge," Leandro Ricciardi, director of the City Traffic Police Corps, told the press.

In the afternoon, traffic was blocked, and a long line of vehicles was trapped . Faced with this situation, the authorities' plan was to split the bridge in two and move it off the highway , as its length prevented it from being moved in its entirety.

Around 7:30 p.m., traffic was fully reopened on the avenue when the bridge was completely removed.
