Healthcare contract signed, with increases of over 150 euros per month

Healthcare contract signed, with increases of over 150 euros per month

The contract for the Health sector has been signed. The group involved is made up of 581 thousand professionals, including nurses, midwives and administrative staff. On the plate for them are expected average increases between 150 and 172 euros per month. This is 1.5 billion, plus other resources allocated for emergency rooms and specificity allowances for a total of 1.7 billion euros. The signature at Aran, where the unions signed the agreement with the exception of Cgil and Uil.

Aran, 'Healthcare contract important result, now new renewal'

The signature for the renewal of the contract of the Healthcare sector "is an important result. Now we look to the next renewal". This is what the president of Aran, Antonio Naddeo, says. After a long and complex negotiation process, which began in 2024 and continued in the following months, the preliminary agreement for the renewal of the National Collective Agreement of the Healthcare sector for the three-year period 2022-2024 was signed today, which concerns over 580 thousand non-medical employees of the National Health Service.

This is stated by the Agency for the Negotiation Representation of Public Administrations (Aran), specifying that the agreement was signed by the trade union organizations Nursind, Cisl, Fials and, today, also by Nursing Up, thus allowing the achievement of the majority necessary for the validity of the signature. Cgil and Uil did not sign the agreement, maintaining their position of opposition already expressed in the previous phases of the negotiation. The contract provides for an average monthly increase of 172 euros for 13 months, together with numerous innovations aimed at improving working conditions, enhancing professional skills and strengthening the efficiency of the health system.

"I am very satisfied with the agreement reached - says Naddeo - because it represents the result of constant, serious and responsible discussion. The contract responds to many of the requests made by the unions and offers workers concrete recognition of their essential role within the National Health Service". The signing was made possible thanks to the inclusion, in the final version of the contract, of specific elements requested by the unions, "a sign of Aran's will to keep the dialogue open until the end".

"Negotiation is always an exercise in mediation - concludes Naddeo - and today we can state with satisfaction that, thanks to the commitment of the parties, a useful, balanced and future-oriented agreement has been reached. Now we can also start the next phase for the 2025-2027 renewal with greater serenity".

Schillaci, the signing of the Health contract is good news for workers

"The signing of the preliminary agreement for the renewal of the contract for the healthcare sector is good news for workers who have been waiting for the conclusion of the negotiations for a long time and who will finally be able to benefit not only from the salary increases but also from the new protections provided by the contract. The Government has already guaranteed the necessary resources for the 2025-2027 renewal and I hope that we will proceed quickly in the exclusive interest of the workers". This is what the Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci, declared in a note.
