Real Estate. Our tips for managing your lawn this summer

Heatwaves often take a toll on lawns, which suffer from the heat. But there are a few tips to protect them from drought.
In summer, hours spent outside, with friends or family, around the barbecue often make you want to have a perfectly maintained garden and an impeccable lawn.
But when the temperature rises, especially during heatwaves, it is important to take a break from mowing your lawn to preserve it.
Irreparable damageWhen the heatwave sets in, you will need to get into the habit of letting your lawn rest, because tall grass helps maintain soil moisture and therefore protect it.
Lack of water can in fact cause irreparable damage to the lawn, which will have a hard time recovering from a heatwave or a period of drought...
Ideally, it will be better to choose a lawn suitable for high temperatures in advance, if the lawn is exposed to the sun during the hottest hours of the day.
These deep-rooted lawns can draw water deeper into the soil. However, in all cases, it is important to leave enough height when mowing and avoid close cutting during the summer.
However, regular mowing also helps keep your lawn healthy. It also helps eliminate weeds, which can compete for water.
During the summer, you should therefore choose the cooler times of the day if you still want to do a light mowing, choosing sunrise or the end of the day.
A watering system that would provide water, also in the morning or evening and in the appropriate quantity, can also prove useful.
Last tip: to protect your lawn during hot weather, avoid trampling it, which weakens it.
