There's a good laugh in the back room of the Chez Nath café-restaurant in Verdun. A dozen women are chatting while handling knitting or sewing needles.

On the large table in front of them, colorful creations radiate positive energy. "These are sensory sleeves," explains Marie-France Prin, one of the co-founders of this small group of volunteers, which has existed for about six years .

"We are not an association, nor a club," she says. No rules, no restrictive formalities weigh on these women who meet every Wednesday, for pleasure, in this café-restaurant, to knit together or do any other kind of work...
