Schweighouse-sur-Moder. Family Fair: a network of professionals attentive to parents

"The idea behind the [family] fair is to enable parents to find answers to the various issues they may encounter with their children," says Floriane Christmann, a grapho-pedagogue and organizer of the event in partnership with the Schweighouse-sur-Moder Sports Union. On Sunday, September 7, 38 professionals in parenting, childhood, and adolescence will be present for the first family fair.
A wide range of professionals from the North Alsace sector will be on site: physiotherapist for mother/child support, baby and child sleep consultant, masseuse (for pregnant women), kinesiologist, psycho- and orthopedagogues, pediatric nutritionist… but also the associations Victimes inceste Alsace , Gingembre et framboisier (perinatal professionals based in Haguenau), Safe'Haven (associative café in Haguenau).
Some of them will speak at debates and conferences on various topics. Claudie Selig from L'Étincelle atypique in Dahlenheim will hold a discussion group entitled "Help, my child is different" to allow parents to express themselves and release tensions on topics such as attention deficit disorder (ADD) and hypersensitivity. Coach Lucie Calvayrac will help find ways to move towards more peaceful relationships between parents and teenagers. At the same time, facilitators from the Niederbronn-les-Bains Intercommunal Animation Network will offer activities for children.
Floriane Christmann opened her practice in September 2020 in the town. Her job: to find the right solutions to help children, from the age of 5, teenagers, and adults, improve their handwriting "to make it more legible, faster, and also painless." Setting up a family fair has been a dream of hers since she started her business.
"Parents sometimes feel lost," she emphasizes. "My goal was to make our professions known to the public." A few months ago, she posted a message on a Haguenau Facebook group explaining her idea without really knowing what would come of it: the professionals responded favorably.
The project has taken shape, and a partnership has been formed with the Union Sportive, which will handle the logistics. On Sunday, September 7, professionals will be available to listen to the public at the first family fair.
Family Fair (perinatal and early childhood/childhood/pre-teen and teen): Sunday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Union Hall, rue Eisenbruch in Schweighouse-sur-Moder. Free admission. Snacks available all day.
