Patrick, 45, a nurse, lives in the Pays de Sarrebourg region. He was bitten by a tick in July 2018 after a bike ride. A migrans rash was visible, but it regressed after three weeks of antibiotic treatment. "I was tired, but I didn't want to see a doctor about it."
Three months after the injection, he experienced joint pain and a burning sensation. "I had trouble concentrating; I felt a kind of mental fog." A blood test for Lyme disease was negative.
In early 2019, he was diagnosed with sleep apnea. The device didn't help, and Patrick gave up. At the end of 2019, he tried a mandibular orthosis to help him breathe better. "This time, it didn't bother me while I slept, but I didn't feel any improvement."
