The fight against health insurance fraud is intensifying in the Grand Est region, with €38 million detected in 2023, an increase of €6.8 million in one year. In response to this situation, the CPAM (Health Insurance Fund) is strengthening its controls and sanctions, with up to 57 criminal complaints filed in Meurthe-et-Moselle.
Health insurance is tracking fraud. Last year in the Grand Est region, no less than "€38 million in fraud was detected and stopped," the Meurthe-et-Moselle CPAM assured in a press release. "That's €6.8 million more than the previous year."
