"We were swept away by the demand from families": Planète autisme celebrates its 15th anniversary with a festive day

The association is organizing a special day to celebrate its anniversary, Saturday, June 21, in its new premises, located at 1050, avenue du Midi
"It started in a small house provided by the city, with a few families," recalls Laurence Franzoni, president of Planète autisme, who had no idea at the time that the Agen association could achieve such longevity.
On Saturday, June 21, the organization will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a festive day punctuated by speeches, activities, and testimonials, starting at 10 a.m. It will also be an opportunity to unveil its new premises, a few months after its move from Avenue Henri-Barbusse to Avenue du Midi, in a larger space adapted to its needs.
Founded in 2010, Planète autisme now supports 110 people with autistic disorders , thanks to its 28 employees and 15 volunteers, who also support families. "We were overwhelmed by the demand. 15 is the age of adolescence, not yet middle age. We have a few years left to show what we are capable of," says the president, who is nevertheless worried about the financial future of the organization.
