Seiko in the race

The new official timekeeper of the Solitaire du Figaro Paprec 2025 is also the sponsor of skipper Quentin Vlamynck.
From the English Channel to the Bay of Biscay, the skippers of the Solitaire du Figaro Paprec will have to tackle a 1,850-mile course this year. From September 7 to 25, 2025, the most demanding solo race on the Figaro Beneteau circuit will put the yachts and the men to the test.
For this new edition, it's Seiko France's turn to become the official timekeeper of the event. This commitment is in line with its long history of high-level sports timekeeping, from the Tokyo Olympic Games in 1964 to the World Athletics Championships, for which the Japanese brand has been the official timekeeper since 1987. It's also a great way to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Seiko Prospex Diver's diving watch.
Skip the adSeiko has also been supporting skipper Quentin Vlamynck since 2024. At just 32 years old, he has already finished second in the prestigious Route du Rhum, a solo transatlantic race, and won the Transat Jacques Vabre alongside Thibaut Vauchel-Camus. Last December, he won the Sydney-Hobart race.

The Shooting Stars BoatAfter competing in the Transat Paprec as a mixed duo, he is this time setting off solo. He remains faithful to his commitment to the association Les Étoiles filantes*, founded in 2019 to "add life to the days" of children suffering from an incurable pediatric cancer: infiltrating brainstem glioma. Every year, 50 cases are diagnosed in France: a very rare pathology that mainly affects children between the ages of 5 and 10. To date, there is no effective treatment for these inoperable tumors. Donations help support research, make the dreams of these young patients come true, and provide assistance to their families.
This season, the Figaro Beneteau 3 sailing boat from Les Étoiles Filantes sports a unique sail designed by contemporary artist Leloluce, renowned for her luminous and colorful world. This artistic creation, conceived as a message of hope, transforms the boat into a true floating work of art. On board, Quentin Vlamynck wears a Seiko Prospex Diver's SPB451, inspired by the legendary 62MAS unveiled by the brand in 1965. A piece designed to withstand the most extreme environments.
