This quote from the village tourist office was used by members of the brand new association Bien Vivre à Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez as a spearhead to protest against major modification works to the village square launched by Saint-Étienne Métropole (SEM), in collaboration with the town hall.
They launched a petition on change.org , which gathered nearly 900 signatures, for a town that doesn't even have 500 inhabitants.
