Lyon: activities for toddlers in September at the Musée des Confluences

Starting in September, the Musée des Confluences in Lyon is expanding its offerings by proposing various activities for children.

At the Musée des Confluences in Lyon, discovery and culture are ageless. Starting next month, the museum is expanding its offerings to include activities for younger visitors, from babies to 12-year-olds, to "raise awareness of the fragility of the world around them."

Courses have been designed specifically for newborns, from 0 to 36 months. The first, entitled "Under the Ocean," invites babies and parents to immerse themselves in the depths through a sensory exploration. Three nursery rhymes will be mimed while the audience lies on a mat, bubbles floating in the air. The second, called "Little Feather," offered to 18-36 month-olds, is a story combining theater, song, and poetry.

For younger visitors, ages 2 to 6, new activities will offer the opportunity to explore the animals in the museum's permanent exhibition space or enjoy several stories. Workshops have also been designed to allow children to discover the new Amazonia exhibition or to let their senses speak through a family visit focusing on the color of minerals, the emotions of samurai, and everyday objects.
