Casarose Comedy Club: a new stand meeting in Mandelieu at the start of the school year

Come fall, laughter will be making a lasting impression at the Casarose Hotel in Mandelieu-la-Napoule. Starting September 5, the hotel owned by brothers Sylvain and Jean-Christophe Larose, working hand in hand with the SLASH-F association—which has already been behind the Smakelijk! Comedy Club in Monaco since 2024—will host three comedians every first Friday of the month.

French comedians, as well as new voices from Belgium, Switzerland, and Quebec, will be coming to try their hand at the exercise. And while the names of the evening's three stand-uppers will only be revealed at the last minute, once on stage, we can already name a few of the talents who will participate in this first season of the Casarose Comedy Club, to give you an idea... Like the Parisian Merwane Benlazar, a columnist on France Inter known for his hard-hitting humor, or the Brussels-born Sarah Lélé, crowned "Révélation Scène Francophone" at the first Auguste ceremony in Lille in February, rewarding comedians.

A successful trial last year

This comedy club project is part of a story that began in 2024. Last year, the SLASH-F association had already offered stand-up evenings at the Mandolocian hotel with the Fridge x Casarose events, in collaboration with Le Fridge, the Parisian comedy club of comedian and actor Kev Adams. Twelve stand-up comedians from the capital then took over the venue for four evenings. The result: the blind tickets sold were convincing and the 250-seat venue was sold out every evening.

Building on this experience, the Hotel Casarose and SLASH-F have decided to move up a gear, keeping the same concept but increasing the number of events to offer more regularity and diversity in the comedians scheduled. The first evening will be on September 5, followed by events every first Friday of the month until April 2026.
