"It's a very big truck": a festival cancels Patrick Sébastien's appearance "for technical reasons" a few days after his shocking gesture

Patrick Sébastien is no longer appearing at the "Humor and Dance" Theater Festival in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin in the Alpes-Maritimes, where he was scheduled to appear on August 8. This cancellation was spotted by Nice-Matin , which raised questions a few days after the publication of a video showing the singer on stage on July 22 at a naturist campsite in Cap d'Agde (Hérault).
In the video, identified by Médiapart , he can be seen receiving oral sex from a woman on stage, without it being possible to distinguish whether it was real or mimed. All this in front of 2,000 people, including 24 children accompanied by their families, according to information from BFMTV.
Was this the case that led to the singer's removal from the lineup? "Of course not, it's not related, I don't care, it's a news story," Chantal Martino, the festival's president and organizer, told BFMTV.
The president, who confirmed that this cancellation "isn't even official yet," cited "technical and logistical reasons" as justification. When asked about the nature of these difficulties, Chantal Martino remained evasive. "It's a very large truck, we had problems because we're in a small town, and getting the truck through was complicated" (sic).
On the festival website, Patrick Sébastien's show no longer appears on the program.
Contacted by BFMTV on July 30 after the widespread circulation of the video showing Patrick Sébastien in the act, the Bézier prosecutor's office indicated that it had not received any complaints and had not opened any proceedings following these events. The campsite management expressed its "disapproval" after this scene, but refused to file a complaint so as not to "fuel the controversy."
Furthermore, Patrick Sébastien's lawyer, quoted by Médiapart, assured that the spectator's intervention on stage "was neither planned nor desired," asserting that it was merely an act of "miming." "Mr. Patrick Sébastien was very surprised by this woman's behavior and did not fail to put an end to this staging," he said.
Despite the lack of legal repercussions, those planning to travel to Roquebrune-Cap-Martin on August 8 will not be able to see the 50th edition's sponsor. According to Nice-Matin, the artist was supposed to present a one-man show that was "original, funny, and moving." The organizers have promised full ticket refunds.
"We'd be better off talking about my festival, which is 50 years old in the PACA region, there aren't two of them. It's one of the oldest festivals in France," insists Chantal Martino. Noted.
