"Bad Guys 2": Funnier, crazier, stronger... The return of the trickster animals with a bang

This breathtaking sequel to the 2022 animated hit takes its animal heroes into space. Its director gives us a behind-the-scenes look.
By Renaud BaronianWatch out, the "Bad Guys" are back. Adapted from children's books by Pierre Perifel , a talented Frenchman who has worked in Hollywood animation studios for almost twenty years, these rogue animal characters—a wolf, a piranha, a tarantula, a snake, and a shark—made us laugh a lot and captivated more than a million viewers in the original 2022 film.
Their on-screen return proves to be a success. Having now ceased all fraudulent activity, the five animals, suffering from their past image, struggle to find honest jobs. Things don't get any better when a gang of three "Bad Girls" (a female crow, a female boar, and a vengeful feline) commits a series of crimes, pinning them on our ex-villains. To get out of this, the Bad Guys will have to rely on their ingenuity, their daredevil streak, and Diane, the fox governor, herself a former master thief.
