The Jacob & Co. watch that Tom Brady boasts costs 700,000 euros

The athlete Tom Brady is a self-confessed lover of fine watchmaking , so it is not surprising that he has a large collection of authentic jewels and unique pieces of craftsmanship, among which there is no shortage of designs by Rolex and Audemars Piguet. So much so, that he recently auctioned off several of his designs with the help of Sotheby's , probably to make room for new pieces. One of the most spectacular models owned by Gisele Bündchen 's ex, which he was seen wearing at this year's Super Bowl, is the Caviar Tourbillon by Jacob & Co. , a truly luxurious model full of precious stones that is limited to just 18 pieces for the entire world and whose price, not suitable for all pockets, is $740,000 (about 707,000 euros at the current exchange rate).
According to the American firm, this design recreates a large tin of caviar in which the grains are so tightly packed that they appear almost square. To achieve this, the invisible setting technique was used, which means that no sharp point or metal can be seen that could break the continuous series of gems. With its exquisite finishes, it shows the firm's experience in fine jewellery applied to luxury watchmaking.
The most significant thing about the piece is that it is completely covered with brilliant-cut baguette gems. The 44mm case features 224 gems and the crown has 16 more and a large rose-cut one. The dial is made up of a series of concentric rows of 130 baguette-cut gems. The Brady model is yellow, but it is available in white diamonds, emeralds, rubies, blue, yellow, pink or orange sapphires that form a kind of camouflage or rainbow. So there are a total of 424 precious stones .

This watch is equipped with the JCAA43 calibre which is regulated by a one-minute flying tourbillon visible through an opening in the dial. Its constant rotation is the mechanical life of the Caviar Tourbillon. It is made up of 216 components, has a self-winding movement and a 42-hour power reserve.
The calibre is also studded with gems, so when looking through its sapphire case back the movement reveals a setting of 338 brilliant-cut diamonds , the bridges and openworked rotor being entirely covered by them, an extremely delicate task requiring great experience and skill.
