Gabourey Sidibe's Husband Shares Update on Twins Ahead of 1st Birthday

Gabourey Sidibe’s first year of parenthood is flying by.
After the Precious star gave birth to twin babies Maya and Cooper last April, her husband Brandon Frankel shared a heartfelt message about watching their little ones’ rapid development.
“I can’t believe the twins are creeping up on a YEAR OLD,” the talent agent wrote in a post on Instagram Feb. 25. “People kept telling us ‘the days are long, but the years are short’ and they nailed it! I find myself looking back at pictures and videos of them all the time, and they were SO LITTLE and are now SO BIG!!”
Brandon, who married the Oscar nominee in 2021, went on to express just how enamored he is with his young family.
“I think about the three of you from the second I wake up til I go to bed. And often throughout my dreams,” he continued. “You are my favorite people on the entire planet- and there’s over 8 billion of those. Thank you for filling my heart with so much joy. I love you til the end of time.”
The couple have shared frequent social media updates on the ups and downs of raising their twins. In October, Gabourey joked that her kids had “humbled [her] beyond repair” as she prepared to take her infant son to an appointment—while sporting his spit-up on her shirt.
“My son and I have a difference of opinion about who I should be,” she said in an Instagram video at the time as she adjusted her hair. “My son thinks that just because I’m bald-headed with spit-up all over me at home, that that’s also who I should be in the streets, and no. No, I don’t have to be bald-headed and spit upon in the streets. Imma be flourishing, OK?”
But the not-so-glamorous moments certainly make the milestones even more major, as the actress proved with an adorable look at her babies’ first holiday.
“First Frankel Family Christmas for The SidiBabies was a success,” Gabby raved on Instagram in December alongside clips of the twins unwrapping their toys. “They really loved the boxes!”
