On the evening of Tuesday, July 15, the commemorative events of the 125th Anniversary of the 'Coso del Pino' were closed. The event opened its doors for the first time on July 15, 1900, when Emilio Torres 'Bombita' and Manuel Hermosilla gave an account of a bull run by Sanlúcar native Carlos Otaolaurruchi.
The gala was directed by Emilio Trigo Naranjo , head of communications for the company Espectáculos Carmelo García, which brought the commemorative events of the 125th Anniversary of the Sanlúcar de Barrameda Bullring to a close. Tribute was also paid to the building itself, constructed by architect Antonio Arévalo Martínez in 1900, and to those who continue to contribute to enhancing the history of bullfighting in Sanlúcar. Furthermore, the impetus behind these events was provided by the Working Committee , composed of 18 people who collaborate in the organization of the events.
The documentary 'Sanlúcar, 125 Years Dreaming of Bullfighting' , directed by Javier Velázquez from Sanlúcar, was screened, followed by the performance of the winning pasodoble from the National Pasodoble Competition. The piece is called 'Solera' , composed by Ángel Francisco Pérez Montesinos , and takes its official name from 'Coso del Pino' .
At the end of the ceremony, commemorative silver badges were presented to the bullfighting professionals of Sanlúcar de Barrameda , who have represented the city's name in bullrings around the world. Recognition was also given to the current owner of the Sanlúcar bullring, Carmelo García, and his entire family. The gala concluded with remarks by Mercedes Colombo , the delegate of the Andalusian Government in Cádiz.
