Spectacled Bear was recorded playing in the Chingaza moor: this was the particular reaction

Through social media, users expressed their amazement after seeing a post made by the X account (formerly Twitter) of the Bogotá Aqueduct , in which they showed the fauna and flora of the Chingaza moor, located northeast of the Colombian capital.
The videos feature a condor, a deer and a cute bear that caught the attention of Internet users when they saw how it posed for the cameras while playing in the stream.
Something that surprised the people who were recording the video is that she did not escape, but rather stopped for a moment to observe what was happening, stood on two legs and raised one of her hands, as if she were waving, and then continued on her way towards a hill.
In recent months, the Chingaza moorland was affected by the drought that occurred during the year 2024, but with the rains that we had in February 2025, the panorama is different and there are many animals that are enjoying the green of the mountains again.

“ A bear walking along the shore of the reservoir, a condor flying overhead and roaming around, and a deer curiously approaching Chuza are not only an example of the biodiversity of the Chingaza moorland, but also an example of the recovery of the main source of water supply for Bogotá and neighboring municipalities ,” says the tweet from the Bogotá Aqueduct.
The publication shows how Chingaza has been recovering and no longer looks as dry as in previous months, something that caused concern to the capital's residents, but today there is a different panorama and there are more than 45 million additional cubic meters of water, according to the entity.

They also took the opportunity to tell the people of Bogota that, thanks to the measures adopted with rationing and thanks to the rains, there is more optimism for the coming months.
Comments on social media were not long in coming. Although some expressed their displeasure at the water cuts, others were moved to see how these animals enjoyed their habitat.
