Puerto Rico receives its first Formula 1 car thanks to Bad Bunny: it was driven by renowned Mexican driver Esteban Gutiérrez.

Bad Bunny, adidas Originals, and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 team teamed up to showcase a Formula 1 (F1) vehicle for the first time in Puerto Rico this Saturday, on the central Dos Hermanos Bridge in the Puerto Rican capital of San Juan.
"A dream come true. Truly, not leaving Puerto Rico to be able to fulfill a dream of watching Formula 1 is wonderful," 14-year-old Sofía Hernández, wearing a red Ferrari cap, told EFE. The demonstration of the Mercedes/AMG-Petronas W13 driven by renowned Mexican driver Esteban Gutiérrez sparked great excitement among fans of Formula 1 racing, who waited for hours in the rain to see the motorsport spectacle.
"We're told there were people who arrived last night, and people have been seen arriving since 1:00 (5:00 GMT)," JL Promotions reported on its Facebook page. The single-seater racer traveled from Condado beach to the other end of the Dos Hermanos bridge, where it turned around to return to the starting point, amid cheers from the crowd.
"It's super cool that they brought this dynamic here because there are many people who don't have the opportunity to make the trip and see these races in other places ," said Jan Rivera, 29, who arrived at the event from his hometown of Carolina, located in northern Puerto Rico, and waited from 5:00 a.m. local time to witness the F1 vehicle that made its appearance at 9:00 a.m.
In this context, Bad Bunny, who is immersed in his 30-concert musical residency at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico, announced that he is officially joining the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 team as its newest member.
Following the exhibition, high-speed racing fans can immerse themselves in the history of motorsports at an exhibit of authentic Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 race suits, gloves, boots, and other historical artifacts at the Puerto Rico Coliseum.
Meanwhile, the Pier10 facilities in the Puerta de Tierra neighborhood of San Juan will become the epicenter of Puerto Rican automotive culture this Saturday with the Pier10 Cart Port celebration. As part of the experience, attendees will be able to meet the Mexican Mercedes-Benz driver with a background in Formula 1.
