A few days ago, a TikTok user identified as Lilian shared a video on her personal account to share the unusual story she witnessed at work as an air traffic coordinator at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport.
According to the woman, some parents decided to leave their 10-year-old son at the airport terminal because they wanted to continue with their travel plans.

“As a coordinator, I've seen a ton of things, but this has been totally surreal,” Lilian says at the beginning of the recording, referring to the fact that the situation this family found itself in makes no sense to her.
According to the user, her workday was the same as usual, but the problem began when she arrived at the office to pick up her flight documentation and was asked to return to the parking area.
"He arrived at the plane, the police were there, and they told me that yes, there was a ten-year-old boy there, who told them that his parents were on the plane on their way to their home country , that they were on vacation," Lilian wrote in the post.
In the story, the air coordinator comments that after communicating with the captain, the man confirmed that the control tower had informed him that there was a child, but that when she asked people if anyone knew him, no one said anything.

The user explained that in order to board the plane, airport staff had to set up a ladder and reopen the doors. "They give the names of the passengers to the flight attendant, he calls them, and a man and a woman get out with a small child," she added.
"The explanation they gave the Civil Guard was that their passport had expired ," the air coordinator explained in the clip, in which she also emphasized that the Spanish document they were traveling with required a visa.

In this regard, the minor's parents mentioned that since he did not meet the requirements to enter their country of origin, they decided to leave him at the airport and then called a relative to pick him up.
Lilian pointed out that in the end, the police took the parents and the minors to the terminal station because that alternative seemed normal to them, but it is something that cannot be done under any circumstances.
