From Talavante's pardon to Marco Pérez's bullfight in Alicante

As Marco Pérez finished his work on the third bull of the afternoon, the brusque and unclassy animal grabbed him by the upper left thigh and threw him high into the air. After agonizing seconds, the Salamancan got up and killed his foe. He was awarded one ear, but after receiving it, he was taken to the infirmary because he couldn't hold his leg up.
He is now in the Vithas Perpetuo Socorro Hospital. The medical report indicates that he has a "sheathed goring wound in the back of his left thigh with possible damage to the sciatic nerve." From the young bullfighter's blood to the glory of Talavante, the young bullfighter went in just twenty minutes: the Extremadura native, who had already cut an ear from the first bull of the afternoon, pardoned Gavilán, from Núñez del Cuvillo.
According to Mundotoro, the bull was of high quality, although the orange flag was awarded thanks to the Extremadura native's skill, who produced a masterpiece, full of inspiration and improvisation from both hands. For his extraordinary performance, he was awarded the symbolic two ears and tail, and Gavilán returned to El Grullo.
The third in contention was none other than Juan Ortega. He didn't see the cross or the exceptional glory, but he entertained himself by cutting two ears, with a request for more, and by performing at a slow pace, as only he knows how. In the second of the afternoon, he performed tafalleras and a low-level bullfight of incredible beauty. The fifth was more commendable, because he cut another trophy after the excitement of the Talavantista pardon, in a performance of great finesse, which, moreover, stabbed before delivering a good sword thrust.
