Diego Maradona case: the date for the impeachment trial against Judge Julieta Makintach has been confirmed.

The judge was removed from the trial after starring in the controversial documentary "Divine Justice." Attorney Miguel Ángel Pierri confirmed the date of the first hearing.

Judge Julieta Makintach will face impeachment on Tuesday, June 24, after starring in the documentary "Divine Justice," which focuses on the trial investigating the death of Diego Maradona . The judge was removed from the trial following the release of images and the script.

Miguel Ángel Pierri, defense attorney for the head nurse and one of the seven defendants, Mariano Perroni, informed Noticias Argentinas that the hearing will take place at 11:00 a.m. in the Golden Hall of the Senate of the Province of Buenos Aires, located on 51st Street between 7th and 8th Streets in the city of La Plata.

The jury is composed of five associate judges : Fabian Ramón González from the Morón Judicial Department; Mirta Daniela Greco from the Lomas de Zamora Judicial Department; Pablo Agustín Grillo Cicchini from the La Plata Judicial Department; María Victoria Lorences from the Lomas de Zamora Judicial Department; and Álvaro García Orsi from the La Plata Judicial Department.

The alternates are Guillermo Andrés Marcos from the Bahía Blanca Judicial Department; Alberto Biglieri from the Lomas de Zamora Judicial Department; and Lisandro Benito from the La Plata Judicial Department.

The document also states that the appointed legislative associate judges with law degrees are Senators Ariel Martínez Bordaisco (UCR), María Lorena Mandagarán (UCR Federal Change) and Sergio Raúl Vargas (Union Reunion and Faith) and Representatives Abigail Gómez (La Libertad Avanza) and Maite Milagros Alvado (Union for the Homeland).

In the latter case, the alternates are Representatives Guillermo Castello (LLA) and Diego Garciarena (UCR-CF), and Senator Gabriela De María of the Union for the Homeland.

Controversial video in his office

Makintach, head of the Second Criminal Court (TOC), was recused from the trial for the Argentine star's death after videos emerged showing her walking through the halls of the San Isidro courts.

Furthermore, the images show her giving an interview inside her office, and there were even hidden cameras in the room while the proceedings were taking place . The judge was also removed from her teaching position at the Universidad Austral's Faculty of Law.
