Aitana: The rise and fall of the Spanish artist is revealed in a Netflix series

Aitana Ocaña is a world star , but behind the spotlight is the darker side of fame, which also has "worse days and better days" although, as she admits in an interview with EFE, "before they were just bad days."
The Spanish singer, who is premiering 'Metamorfosis', a docuseries about her life, says she is "in the process of healing," but she doesn't believe that what is happening to her "will be cured in two months or anything like that," but rather that it will be a year of learning and of finding herself "little by little."
The documentary, which will premiere on Netflix on February 28, follows the artist's daily life in six episodes, both in her personal and professional life, and the way she deals with conflicts that test her maturity and mental health, such as the temporary cancellation of her performances at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, the lack of personal time, scheduling problems or her breakup with Colombian Sebastián Yatra.

"I sought psychiatric help because I needed it at the time. As the months go by, I feel better," she says.
In this sense, she believes that at that moment “everything seems very dark” and it is difficult to understand the reasons: “It is very frustrating to have in your mind all the time how lucky I am, how well everything is going for me and not even wanting to get out of bed, because you start crying and you don’t know what is happening to you. It had never happened to me before, I didn’t know what depression was really like in depth.”
An illness that is not mentioned in the documentary: “It is not mentioned because it is a very serious matter and I would not like anyone to think that I am doing marketing or talking about depression for my documentary. I am only talking about what is happening to me.”
'I'm not perfect'

In the six episodes of the docuseries, Aitana shows her personal struggle to achieve the continuous search for perfection, which she previously understood as fitting into all environments and now sees differently.
“For me, perfection is literally being imperfect, it's not having to constantly check that everything is fine, making sure everything fits, checking everything… Because I think that's what makes you unhappy and for me, perfection is happiness,” he explains.
Looking ahead, she hopes to keep her life calm and “continue visiting countries, doing many more concerts, meeting fans around the world” and studying a music degree at a top university like Berkeley in the United States.
"I'm very happy with everything I've experienced. At 25 years old, look how many things I've experienced, but that doesn't mean I don't have more things to experience, I still have a lot. There are a lot of things I want to do as best as possible, because I'm a perfectionist ," she concludes.
