Roberta Flack was one of the most successful American soul singers and was discovered in the late 1960s. She became known for her hits such as "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" and "Killing Me Softly". Flack was the first artist to win a Grammy for best record twice in a row. She has now died on February 24, 2025 at the age of 88 at home surrounded by her family in New York, according to her press spokeswoman Elaine Schock.
